Born and raised in sunny Florida, Kim’s childhood was full of adventures on beaches, rivers, lakes as well as her family’s farm in Charleston, South Carolina. - Kim often reminisces of days sailing with her father on the family sailboat. Sounds of the water lapping on the hull, gentle breezes billowing in the sails, and scents of freshly oiled teak are forever etched in her memory.

Throughout her youth, Kim, her sister Karen and mother Barbara, would venture into their own aesthetic world, experimenting with essential oils, herbs, and floral essences picked from their home garden. Together, they created beauty concoctions and olfactory compositions from their adventures and inspirations. Wonderstruck at the thought of traveling the globe, she would lie on the grass searching the blue skies for planes, dreaming of future journeys to unknown and exotic destinations.

Today, Kim reflects back on the seemingly endless memories of travel, adventure, love, and loss in her life. - These chapters are the foundation of Kim’s soulful approach in developing Spadaro House of Fragrances and the authenticity crafted in each scent.

The Early Life

The Brand History

Visionary, alchemist and fragrance designer Kim Spadaro combined her strong passion for design, aromatherapy, travel and music to formulate scents that arouse emotion and entice connection. Each fragrance is inspired by a different destination and brings to life a moment in time experienced during Kim’s journeys. Her vision for Spadaro Fragrances sought to bottle up her own memories into exotic and sensual perfumes as a way to keep the experiences alive and she has done just that. In just a few years, Spadaro has become an internationally recognized perfume company known for its unique scents composed of authentic stories and passion that induce a desire to travel to faraway places.

The Philanthropist

Inspired by the love of humanity and cultures throughout, Kim honors those less fortunate and annually contributes a portion of her year-end sales to a different charity that has inspired her during that time. The Spadaro Foundation was developed when Kim received a boundless amount of encouragement, love and strength, while her mother battled brain cancer and her new company evolved simultaneously. The Foundation is a tribute to her mother, her energy, and love for all.
